Getting Started
Everything you need to start tracking your real profit
Install Clarifi
Click "Install" on the Shopify App Store. Approve the required permissions — we only access order, product, and financial data needed to calculate your profit.
The installation takes about 10 seconds. No credit card required.
Set Your Costs (COGS)
Clarifi needs to know what each product costs you. Go to Settings → Costs and enter your Cost of Goods Sold for each product or variant.
Tip: You can also bulk-import COGS from a CSV file, or connect a supplier to sync costs automatically.
- Per-product COGS: Set a flat cost per item
- Per-variant COGS: Different costs for different sizes, colors, etc.
- Percentage-based: Set COGS as a percentage of selling price
Configure Shipping Costs
Go to Settings → Shipping to tell Clarifi your actual shipping costs. You can:
- Set a flat shipping cost per order
- Use zone-based shipping rates (different costs by region)
- Connect a shipping carrier for automatic cost sync
Clarifi compares what you charge customers vs. what you actually pay — showing you exactly how much shipping affects your margin.
Review Your Dashboard
That's it! Head to the Dashboard to see your profit data. Clarifi automatically calculates:
- Net profit — revenue minus all costs
- Profit margin — as a percentage
- Shopify fees — plan costs, payment processing, transaction fees
- Profit per order — see which orders actually make money
- Product profitability — rank products by profit, not just revenue
